The high use of stainless steel and plastic has been increased but at the heart of the new spreaders lies the OM spreading disc. Featuring new setting scales for more comfortable adjustment and maintaining Amazone’s renowned low disc speed, the OM disc features increased blade length and angle to improve the spreading ability of poorer quality fertiliser. By increasing the overlap zone between bouts at these higher tramline widths these products can now be spread more safely taking urea now in excess of 36m.
A choice of electronic control packages is offered with the new Amatron+, facilitating not only in-cab control of the spreader, but also in conjunction with the weigh cell option, the application rate is constantly checked ‘on-line’ and consequently adjusted on the move. Potential GPS connection via an RS232 port is standard on Amatron+. Accurate in-cab control of headland and boundary applications ensures increased productivity and reduced fertiliser usage – even on wedge shaped fields.
A new hopper cover design underlines the attention to detail provided on the ZA-M range. An easy to operate handle means that the cover can be easily opened in comfort from the side of the hopper and when closed is locked shut, thus avoiding problems in windy weather.
