Amazone introduce their new range of mounted sprayers for the first time into the UK at the LAMMA show. Amazone who have manufactured sprayers for more than 30 years and produce circa. 2,500 sprayers a year, have a new mounted sprayer: Complementing the existing UF00 range the new UF 1501 & 1801 have a tank capacity of up to 1980 litres making the UF 1801 the largest mounted sprayer currently available in the market. Also with boom sizes up to 28m the UF01 range has the widest capacity boom of any mounted machine in the market.
Amazone state the advantages of having such a large capacity mounted sprayer now produces a more viable and cost effective option over small trailed sprayers. The weight on the tractor linkage of the UF 1801 with 28m booms is only the same as having a 3,000 litre broadcaster half full on the rear of the tractor. This means a small 125hp 6 cylinder tractor could be used, reducing diesel and ground compaction over a trailed machine. The reduction in train length of the mounted sprayer allows switching off spray and turning within only one headland tramline. The average length of a tractor and trailed sprayer is in excess of 9m.
The new range still comes with the compact boom folding at the rear of the sprayer giving greater transport clearance than other sprayers on the market. Amazone have taken the opportunity when developing the UF 01 range to change the location of all controls and valves to the side of the machine for easy access. In cab control is operated via the AMATRON+ allowing the UF 01 range to have “DUS” (Boom re-circulation) and to be GPS compatible. The increased output has resulted in the Induction bowl being virtually doubled in size to 60 litres. There is an option for a quick coupling via an A frame.
