: Amazone Ltd strengthen their field service team
Amazone Ltd strengthen their field service team
07 December 2011
Since his appointment a year ago, Gareth Jones has brought a wealth of technical knowledge into the office at Harworth in his role as in-house technical support. However, in that last twelve months, with the introduction of the Pantera self-propelled sprayer and the new Profihopper 4WDi , the Amazone product range has become more and more advanced and this, coupled with the fact that the level of business for Amazone is constantly on the increase, there is the need to further strengthen the field service team. And that degree of sophistication will only continue to increase when you see the new products that were unveiled at the recent Agritechnica show.
Starting in the New Year, Gareth will be promoted to the position of Techincal Support Engineer for the South of England. Out in the field, with a territory running from South Wales across to Kent, Gareth will face a mixture of challenges. 'There will never be a dull moment' explains Gareth as he looks forward to his new job on the road 'with this variation in farming and amenity businesses across my patch, I will be dealing with livestock farmers to large arable growers through to municipal green space maintenance works and professional landscape contractors all in the same day' But hard work is no issue for Gareth. Born and brought up on a mixed farm in Wales and educated at Harper Adams University College, Gareth has worked both on the practical side of farming and machinery maintenance as well as on the R & D side with a major British manufacturer, so anything that his new dealers and customers throw at him he is ready to take it all in his stride. 'I have thoroughly enjoyed helping customers with spare parts and offering service advice to both dealers as well as end users. Pllus, of course, processing warranty claims for our Amazone dealer network' says Gareth ' but this new role will let me get nearer to those customers and I hope to develop a good working relationship with both end users and dealers alike'
The promotion of Gareth has obviously left a hole in the office and so currently Amazone are looking to recruit a new member to the support team, visit our 'job centre' here on the web site for more details. That new recruit will enable Amazone to yet further strengthen the level of product support they can provide to their customers. We wish Gareth much luck in his new career.
