More space for Amazone Ltd at LAMMA 2010
Amazone Ltd used the opportunity to show off five brand new products at LAMMA 2010. With a mixture of indoor and outdoor stand facilities the stars of the show were exhibited on both sites; indoors saw, for the first time in UK, the new ZA-M 01 series spreaders which feature the new Safety-Set guard rail and integrated road lights for added operator and road user safety. With hopper capacities of 1000 up to 3000 litres and offering options of manual control right through to weigh cell and hydraulic disc drive, the ZA-M 01 series is the most comprehensive medium capacity spreader range on the market.
Also launched was the UG 3000 Special trailed sprayer with its updated operator station and featuring the new unique tappet valve technology found up to now just on the bigger UX range of trailed sprayers. The suction valve is now a cam action valve for ease of operation and maintenance-free performance.
The Cenius mulch cultivators in 3, 3.5 and 4m folding working widths takes their tine and disc technology from the trailed Centaur cultivators and brings that excellent working quality into the reach of the smaller horsepower tractor. With working depths down to a maximum of 30cm, the Cenius will shallow stubble cultivate, straw incorporate and deep loosen to alleviate panning and compaction problems.
With the pressure increasingly on more output and conventional maize drills limited to forward speeds of 8 - 9 kph then, up to now, the only way to improve output is to go wider. However, with the new Express metering system on the EDX maize drill range then 15 kph is now possible for improved work rates of up to 50%. LAMMA saw the new EDX 6000-T trailed in the flesh for the first time.
Outdoors also hosted the KE 3000 Super, one of the new range of power harrows from Amazone. The range includes both the entry level KE Special for tractors up to 140hp and in widths of 2.5 or 3m or the KE Super for tractors up to 180hp and in 3 or 4m working widths.
