Amazone celebrates its 100,000th drill combination with the Gold-Line campaign
It was a tremendously innovative step in when in 1967 Amazone introduced the first till and drill combination onto the market. For the first time it was possible to combine soil tillage and sowing and by doing this, not only save one operational pass but also at the same time improve the sowing quality. From that humble beginning, the system derived such success that in 2010, nearly 45 years later, Amazone has sold its 100,000th drill combination. Obviously, in the meantime technology has moved on and so the latest drill combination of today consists of a rotary cultivator or rotary harrow working in conjunction with a linkage mounted or pack top seed drill that are equipped with Vario-Control; the highly precise metering technology.
